I am a 2018 graduate of Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts located in Boulder, Colorado. I am a current resident of Berthoud, Colorado and love exploring opportunities that are related to pastry arts. While in school I learned many aspects focused on both French and American baking techniques. I have a great passion for baking, in both a personal and professional setting.
While in school we had four blocks; block one being baking and pastry fundamentals, block two patisseries, block three candy, chocolate, and artisan, and block four global and plating. A fifth block followed the in class portion with an externship at a business of our choice. I had the opportunity to expand my skills with a local business, Rise Artisan Breads, located here in Berthoud. I was able to branch out in the bakery and use my skills to do prep work by scratch making pastries and doughs for the following day, as well as mornings of preparing and baking pastries and doughs. These included but were not limited to bread for sandwiches, sweet breads, cinnamon rolls, muffins, croissants, pretzels, bagels, cupcakes, cookies, pies, and much more depending on the time of year. A personal note about myself - My husband is in the United States Army which has allowed us to spend the last two years in Kansas, during that time we were able to adopt our wonderful dog Prancer. Our goal as a family is to one day own our own business, to be able to share our personal and family made recipes. |
